Any wedding is special to me, but this one in particular was extra special. The fact that the bride Babsi and I not only were co-workers but also shared an office for two years, did our post-graduate masters together and travelled to Japan, South Korea, Sweden and America in less than a year, gave me a fantastic connection to this wedding. And as Babsi’s husband is truely a fantastic guy, I was overly excited to capture their special day.
Another added bonus was that I also knew so many of the guests including the made of honor who was on all our trips too. The venue was lovely but the weather was truely not to wish for. It rained almost the entire day but nevertheless the wedding was gorgeous. We met up for the getting ready in the bride’s mom cute holiday apartment at the Attersee (a wonderful lake about 40 minutes from Salzburg). The bride’s maids were getting ready there too and already then it was clear that the day would be great not matter what the weather was.
I took the bride with me for the most wonderful „first-sight“ with her husband directly at the lake and a ajoined boat house. Seeing the groom getting all emotional seeing his beautiful bride for the first time truely gave me chills. With us also was Rene, a true master when it comes to videography, who filmed the whole thing. I worked along side with Rene for a couple of times and he is also great friends with bride and groom.
After the first sight, we made our way over to the Grafengut, a somewho artistic estate directly at the lake where the ceremony was planned to be outside but the waether didn’t allow it. Still the ceremony held by another friend of ours was super emotional and loving. The bride’s mom took care of all the florar decoartion and I was overwhelmed on how cute it all looked.
The party after the ceremony was one to remember – great video presentations followed by speeches and alot of dancing. Can we do it again please?
